We are located in the heart of the Four Corners area, near the historic town of Durango, in the southwest corner of Colorado. The area offers western, archeological, historic, and Native American vacation experiences.
Bear Paw Lodge is about 18 miles NE of Durango, set cozily into the magical alpine forest, about one mile from the Vallecito Lake shoreline. The 12-mile scenic shoreline is surrounded by the San Juan National Forest and Weminuche Wilderness. The Weminuche may be Colorado's wildest land and is certainly its largest wilderness at about 490,000 acres.
